In October, Nothing But Nets traveled to Michigan to work with its partners, including the NBA, The United Methodist Church, and the University of Michigan to excite and engage the people in the Detroit area in the global effort to combat malaria. Below is information on the events!

- Nothing But Nets brought together faith leaders from across the Detroit area to pray for children and families who suffer from malaria and discuss the current issues and threats posed by this disease. The discussion also focused on opportunities for faith groups to get involved in Nothing But Nets and the fight against malaria.
Nothing But Nets Malaria Boot Camp

- Nothing But Nets worked with the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy to bring together several hundred students to participate in a two hour workshop on malaria. The Boot Camp featured health experts, campaign partners, as well as other special guests such as professional athletes, and encouraged students to work within their communities to help prevent malaria by getting involved in Nothing But Nets.
Detroit Pistons Nothing But Nets In-Arena Night

- Nothing But Nets cheered on the Detroit Pistons in their season opener against the Atlanta Hawks. During the game, the Detroit Pistons featured a number of Nothing But Nets activities, including an auction of signed Pistons gear! Throughout October, Pistons fans were able to purchase a special $25 ticket to the Nov. 4 season opener with $10 from each ticket donated to Nothing But Nets.
