Lessons Learned from the Fight Against Malaria in the Caribbean

The Nothing But Nets team recently traveled to Haiti and the Dominican Republic, which together comprise the island of Hispaniola – the last island in the Caribbean with ongoing malaria transmission. No. of Malaria Cases in the U.S. hits 40-year high

Last week, the CDC released a statement announcing that the number of malaria cases in the U.S. reached a 40-year high in 2011. Nearly 2,000 people were diagnosed with malaria – a 14 percent increase since 2010.
